Miriana is a seasoned professional dancer and choreographer with more than two decades of experience in the industry. Born and raised in the mighty Waikato (Hamilton New Zealand), her dance journey began at five years old but truly took flight when she discovered her passion for hip hop at ten. From that moment on, dance became more than a hobby—it became her calling.
Her training spans across multiple styles including hip hop, jazz and contemporary, earning her NZMAD qualifications in all three. She has performed and competed both nationally and internationally, sharing the stage with some of the world’s top choreographers and artists. Her notable affiliations include dancing with The Royal Family (2014), Identity Dance Company (2019), and Momentum Productions (2020–2022). She continues to invest in her own growth, recently training with Nappyboyz (2025) and with Indigo Sagala’s BINDICO programme (2022–2024).
Miriana’s performance highlights include the Royal Family’s ‘Skulls & Crowns’ at HHI Las Vegas, appearances in music videos for Parris Goebel and Sammy J, IDCO’s standout performances at HHI Nationals (Guest performing) and Upgrade Sydney, and performances at high-profile events such as All Blacks tests, Breakers games, Stirling Sports product launches, Pasifika Festival and the NZ High Tech Awards. A highlight was back up dancing for New Zealand artist Lavina Williams at the NZ High Tech Awards, a moment she will never forget performing in front of a huge audience that included the Prime Minister at the time, Jacinda Ardern.
In 2018 Miriana founded Street Dance Sessions, a Waikato-based dance school that she leads with passion and purpose. Through her teaching, Miriana aims to empower the next generation of dancers and choreographers showing them that with dedication dance can be more than a dream; it can be a lifelong journey and career. Her commitment to mentorship, creativity, and excellence continues to drive her forward as she explores new projects, collaborations, and global opportunities.
Driven by a deep love for movement and storytelling, Miriana is not only chasing her own dreams but creating space for others to chase theirs too.
