Riley Bourne
Riley Bourne is a Dancer, Choreographer, and Dance Educator from New Zealand who strives to inspire and uplift like-minded individuals in his local community, and all across the globe. Having had many mentors training Riley from the age of just 6 years old, he has gained knowledge of multiple art forms within the genre of Hip Hop dance and utilises this knowledge of Hip Hop culture to ensure that his Choreography is always pushing boundaries, and will withstand the test of time.
Throughout the 20 years of Riley’s dance journey, he has had several years training in Studio Hip Hop Syllabus work earning himself credentials and techniques in teaching dance. He has gained a lot of experience as a teacher, from beginning teaching at the age of 13yrs to now having taught workshops in various countries such as the USA, India, France, Taiwan, the Netherlands and all over Australia and New Zealand. Riley has had an extensive amount of experience in the commercial dance industry as both a Choreographer and Performer, having assisted world renowned Choreographer, Kiel Tutin, on many Music Videos and performances, and on his own has Choreographed and Directed multiple Music Videos for New Zealand artist ‘Kings’, as well as performed in the latest Music Video for Kiwi icon, Lorde. Riley has also performed in several live performances and Music Videos throughout Asia with Taiwanese superstar, Jolin Tsai, and most recently danced in her “Ugly Beauty” World Tour Finale shows in Taipei.
Riley has competed and judged at various dance competitions around the world. He was the Director and head Choreographer for the ‘Bradas', a team that made history by winning two Gold Medals back to back at the Hip Hop International “World Hip Hop Championships” in the Adult Division. The Bradas also were featured on Season 2 of the NBC Television series “World Of Dance” judged by Jennifer Lopez, NeYo, and Derek Hough.
Hard work, valued knowledge, and positive energy has earned Riley the respect of many among the worldwide dance community as he continues to use his craft as a means of offering new perspectives and cultivating meaningful growth for all that he serves.
