Born and raised in Pukekohe, Ben Lowe is a versitile and well-respected dancer and choreographer in the NZ hip hop dance scene. He has taught at four different dance studios over his years, has many international accomplishments to back up his talent and explores his creative expression through music.

He has been with Identity Dance Company since 2017 in crews such as Swagganauts, I-Descendant and IDCO, who have had great success at HHI, earning a gold medal in the varisity division and a bronze in the adult division. With ID he has also competed and showcased at prestigious events like World of Dance, Flip the Switch, WDCC, and Upgrade. Besides ID he is apart of a new and upcoming adult boys crew named Crew24, has performed with Momentum Productions in AUTONOMY and CHROMATIC and done gig work with Mahi Pai, Tempo Dance Festival, Auckland Arts Festival, and other commercial advertisments.

Ben has also trained in contemporary dance, graduating Auckland University with a Bachelors of Dance and has a passion for teaching the next gernerations of hip hop dancers/teachers. Ben has taught at varying studios including Groovit Dance Studio, Jayes Dance, Identity Dance Company and The Dance Studio.

Bens passion for hip hop reaches beyond dance, stemming from music he also creates melodic rap while beginning to enter the NZ music scene. He goes by ‘PapaSlumpp’ and you can find his sound on all platforms.
