Solomon Gray is an Auckland-based powerhouse in the New Zealand dance scene, currently performing in the ensemble of the 2026 New Zealand tour of & Juliet. Bringing elite athleticism and technical precision to the stage, Solomon’s performance background seamlessly bridges high-octane musical theatre with international screen work, including roles in Lionsgate’s Spartacus: House of Ashur and the iconic series Shortland Street. Originally from Palmerston North, his foundation was built through intensive training under Dean McKerras. Followed with a history in the HH crew circuit, Solomon has a unique style based on strong Jazz foundation and with a street/commercial flair. This unique style has established Solomon a grounded presence that he now brings to on-screen projects and professional stages across Aotearoa.
As a versatile creative, Solomon has also established himself as a sought-after choreographer and educator with over five years of professional teaching experience. He has translated brand identities into captivating movement for high-profile projects, including the “Levi Jeans” music video for singer/songwriter Greta Van Der Brink and the moves behind the now viral Moustache Cookies social campaign. Whether he is crafting effortless aesthetics for the screen or mentoring the next generation of dancers in jazz and commercial styles, Solomon’s multidisciplinary expertise and baritone-tenor vocal range make him a prominent and influential figure in the contemporary performance landscape.
